Gill A (she/her) is a visual/media artist, author and mediocre joke maker, originally from North Carolina. Her work deals with themes such as agender/queer/femme identity, the Jewish diaspora, Southern identity, decolonizing the future, feminism, immigration, etc. She studied with the Iowa Writers Workshop during her undergrad and received a Masters in Public Health from UNCG. She is a member of The Ancestral House of Genius and the Streaks of Lavender Queer Writing Collective. Her art has been published and performed at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, Earthwords Magazine, Nifty, the SouthEastern Center for the Contemporary Arts, Community-Word Project and the Living Artist Organization. Currently, she resides in Brooklyn where she collects antiques and dreams of getting a dog one day.
